Irene Lubbe has been involved in the fitness industry for more than 15 years.

She holds a degree in Exercise Science, is a qualified group fitness instructor, personal trainer and Level 1 CrossFit trainer. She is also a certified Pre and Post-Natal Corrective Exercise Specialist.

She cares most about helping women be happy, strong and healthy during pregnancy but more specifically after birth in the postpartum period.

Becoming mom to a boy has taught her that pregnancy and the postpartum period are special times in a women’s life where extra care needs to be taken to keep your body as fit and healthy as possible, both for your own health and wellbeing and for that of your baby. During the postpartum period, she believes it is important to educate women about how to reconnect with their core and heal their core first, before starting an exercise program.

She is based in Moreleta Park, Pretoria, where she currently trains women at Red X CrossFit, which is owned by her husband. For those not based in Pretoria, online training programs, that you can do with limited time and limited equipment at home, are coming soon.
